iCab

When it comes to Internet browsers Mac users
have a lot of options and choices. The latest release
is
iCab 4.0 which is a nice
browser but I just am not sure that I would pay
$25 for another browser when there are so many
good one available for free.
Users of iCab have been waiting a long time for their
upgrade which was slow in coming. This of course is
not a good sign considering that there are always
upgrades for FIrefox available on a regular basis.
The latest version has some nice features like tabbed
browsing and kiosk mode for use in public places but
in my tests with a high speed connections of 10 Mbs
it did perform better than Firefox of Safari in page
loading.
I think that people often look to see if other
browsers are faster than Safari when it actually has
a lot to do with the speed of your Internet and
router connections.
Overall this is a good product but for $25 I think a
lot of people will pass and stick with Safari and
Firefox.
